I love going to see movies in the theater. Don’t ask my why…they’re expensive, the people that are there usually annoy me, and the seats are incredibly uncomfortable. But there’s something about that experience that I just like to take in. I’ve seen three movies in the past two weeks, and all of them actually turned out to be worth writing about.
When we walked in to this movie, we automatically assumed we would hate it. We hate every movie that our friend Jeff picks (no offense, Jeff). Much to our surprise, we laughed hysterically through most of it. The story itself was actually different from most movies, which doesn’t seem to happen these days. Oh and let’s face it, who doesn’t love a movie with Jason Bateman in it?
Friends With Benefits:
Hm…I feel like I’ve seen this before…was it called No Strings Attached? Either way, it was a good movie. My movie-going-friend enjoyed it probably a million times more than me, but that was expected.
Crazy, Stupid, Love:
Welp, here it was again, another movie worthy of making any single gal hate her life a little bit more. But that means it was overall a fantastic movie. It honestly wasn’t at all what I was expecting, but well worth it. Even if I was teary-eyed and hating the world on the drive home from it.
I think when it comes down to it, I could have waited to see Friends With Benefits until it came out on DVD. It was decent, but I don’t know if it was worth $8.50 and a $7.00 popcorn.
